Phoned up, prior to collection, to order in make an order in advance and agreed a time for collection. When I arrived I was told the food was ready but it would be unfair to serve us and we would have to queue to wait in the regular queue to collect our food. Visit this restaurant for their fish and chips; they are outstanding, and the service is equally impressive. The fish is cooked to order, incredibly fresh, with a perfect batter, and the chips are great too. Well done, everyone!
The food is always excellent, and the staff and owners provide a warm and friendly welcome every time.
I called ahead to place an order for pickup and arranged a specific time for collection. When I arrived, I was informed that the food was ready, but they said it would be unfair to serve us and that we had to wait in the regular queue to collect our order. I was quite confused, as this was the first time I experienced a takeaway where my advance order was treated the same way as a walk-in. They seemed to lack an understanding of standard customer expectations, as I expected my order to be ready for collection. They also failed to explain that their process for advance orders required queuing in the shop. The staff's attitude was rather dismissive, and they didn’t apologize for not clarifying their ordering process over the phone. To top it all off, they forgot our mushy peas!
