"Worst McDonald's I've ever visited. It took 30 min to get my order and the food was barely hot and my Cheeseburgers didn't have cheese on them. At the 20 min mark I asked a manager where my food was and she just threw her hands in the air and walked away from me. "As a truck driver I really come across a gem such as this. The manager was extremely polite and the food was very fresh. Dinner started at 3 o'clock I arrived at 3:50. The buffet consisted of pizza, chicken(best I have had anywhere , corn, greenbeans, Macaroni cheese, potatoes,chips, salad bar,several soup,Chile and desserts your beverage is included."

"What a blessing to have found this lovely hometown treasure! Billie Jo has amazing homemade baked goods and menu items to satisfy any food palate. I loved the atmosphere made me wish I could own a restaurant like this in Minnesota because it was so inviting, relaxing, and welcoming. My friend and I had the chicken salad sandwich with pasta and chips, coffee, and an oatmeal cookie sandwiched between this delectable vanilla cream frosting. Yum, yum, yum. The cookie we ate much later and couldn't even eat the whole darn thing because it was so filling. But darn, it was so good! I might have to plan another trip to Des Moines so I can stop by Simply Mae's again and try another one of her simply delicious homemade foods."
