"We were in wagrain and often looked for places to eat in these 7 days. I can safely say that this restaurant was much better by its food, atmosphere, design and above all we had such a warm treatment from our waiter that we do not find at other places. I ordered huge hamburger, pizza and salat. each dish was perfectly matched to our needs. highly recomended."

"We are a family of five (10, 7, 2 yo's) and we're looking for a nice dinner out. We heard of a restaurant in the woods from fellow travelers and after looking around found the Sattelbauer. What a find!!Firstly, the drive to the restaurant is up a winding road in the middle of a forest (great buildup!) and once you are up at the top, the entire Flachau valley is spread below. There's a children's playground and a small petting zoo outside, but as it was a little chilly we opted to sit inside. The inside was nice and warm with an authentic rustic decor. The menu was only in German but our waitress was extremely pleasant and patient and explained everything in English (I forgot her name... Sorry!). Her recommendations were spot on and the dinner was delicious. The younger kids had chicken nuggets with fries while I had the venison dumplings (delicious!!), my wife had a grilled trio of pork, chicken and veal (delicious!!) and my oldest had classic Wiener schnitzel (delicious!!). The dinner was perfect! The bill was 75 EUR and included a round of drinks (beer for me), desert and coffee. If you are in the area, you have to eat here!"
