A warm welcome upon arrival which continued throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who create a calmness and sense of peace. This is a hotel of high potential and missed opportunities. The place is beautiful, really beautiful old historic site. And staff is overfriendly and the food is excellent. But the rooms are old fashioned and simple. With terrible beds (we hardly slept, we heard next morning extra soft mattresses could have been provided). If you book: ask for a soft bed!
