Stopped in for lunch by myself last week. My waitress was great and described the meals wonderfully so I could make a decision. I loved the dish I got with the steak and plantain. I also got the queso which I felt was a little pricey of $8 for a bowl of melted cheese. I will definitely come back. I loved tge ambience and decor as well. View all feedback.
What Megan doesn't like about Gonza Tacos Y Tequila .:
Overall service for a non busy weekday lunch was pretty bad. Slow service one person got there first , had drink. Other two in party arrived, ordered drinks waited at least 10 minutes. Asked for water for table as well, they brought 1 water. Asked for another round for table, they brought 2 beers vs three. Ordered appetizers, took very long, brought 2 plates for 3 guests. The one constant at Gonza, regardless of location or what I order, is freshness. I owned a Mexican restaurant in NY for 14 years and I know what fresh, quality ingredients taste like. Although they are all decorated similarly, the north Raleigh location has the best decor. The service is great…..always a fun time.

Love the chips, salsa, guacamole, queso and our entrées were awesome. All 5 in our group were pleased with the food and service. If I had one minor change, I would reduce the music volume just a notch. It was a bit hard to hear each other talk.
Our favorite restaurant in Wake County. The food is always excellent, the service is great, the atmosphere is fun. Gonza himself is charming and welcoming. Hands down, the BEST!
Their food truck came to a work event last week so I wanted to try out the restaurant. The food was amazing, the tequila was fantastic, and I was able to find gluten free items. Half of the tacos are corn based tortillas and even the chips are gluten free. Super tasty meal with solid service. Will definitely be back again!
