"The best Vietnam restaurant in Man. We had lunch on Sat at around 13:00 and luckily there’s no long queue. Yeah!!! We ordered Pho with rare beef, pork spring roll and classic baguette (Banh Mi). Everything was great, lovely and delicious! We love the pork spring roll most, it was crispy, juicy!! Served with a chill garlic sauce, the sauce was sweet, chilly and little sour. Really fresh and match with the spring roll. Don’t miss it… highly recommend!!!! The classic baguette with pork belly, pork roll, cucumber, pickled carrots…Yummy!! Pho was excellent too, I love it!!!!!!"

"We went to shaks for the first time to lunch after we had been through a flyer. we ordered jacket kartoffel with spicy chicken, samosa chaat and peri peri chicken panini (which the children loved and they are picky). the place is clean, bright, with sitting area and very busy. people really kind and are ordering and was made exactly how we like it was well packed to take out. all foods were made from fresh ingredients before them. the water cycle was still in the water! they only ask at workstations for lunch."

"There MAY be better places for quality, but for value and downright excellent curry its the best. Ignore lancashire bills comments he backs up the views of a council which is responsible for the collapse of all local towns. I dont care if you've filled a form in wrong, I go for the food which happens to be fantastic. The North Indian garlic dish is possibly one of the tastiest things I've eaten anywhere in this world. Keep it up lads and ignore the miserable gits"

"Order was half an hour late, when we rang the takeaway they were abusive down the phone. When it finally arrived the children’s items were missing, so not only did we have a starving agitated 5 year old she now became very upset. We rang curry king back and once again they became abusive claiming that they haven’t even delivered to us tonight (clearly they had), when they realised they actually had delivered to us (duh), they asked if they could just include it next time. We obviously don’t want to order with them ever again. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!"

"I go to heritage kebab house as they do decent chicken fillet burgers and their pizzas are nice. I find going there during lunch time hours when they are not too busy the quality is very good, fresh salad, fresh everything and the portion sizes...are good. In the evening however when the staff are obviously a lot busier taking telephone orders, the food is not always to that high standard. I typically order the chicken fillet burger and occasionally it can be a little greasy, especially if it's not the manager making the food, but this is only on the odd occasion. I would recommend this take away even though some items on the menu are slightly expensive in comparison to its neighbours, but the food is better quality, tastier and the manager/owner always welcoming."

"I was the very first customer at the brand new PieMinister today, banging on the door shouting ; I need pie let me in! I know Pieminister pies very well, first I think at The Big Chill Festival years ago, then at Chorlton and Altrincham bars Pi . The inside is as you'd expect; that modern clinical slightly industrial look. Turns out they have another branch at Trentham Gardens , near my home town, so many of the staff are well experienced, although the Northern Quarter is a very different clientèle. They have a good visible position there as well, just down from the crossroads where Vinyl Exchange is, and not too far from the Arndale. I had some Gourmet Pork Scratchings with apple sauce whilst I was waiting. These were good, crunchy, not too salty and tasted proper home made. For £3 though, I'd expect a few more to be honest. I also had to drink a Fentimans Dandelion Burdock, a perfect old school accompaniment to a pie I think. They had beer, but the choice was fairly limited"
