"I attended the Summer Soirée last evening with two friends and I have to say it was a most fantastic evening. From the welcome cocktail on arrival to the freshly prepared treats, the attention to detail was second to none. To top off the evening the amazing voice of Karla Tracey was a dream to hear. "Very casual dining, some low tables, some at decent height. A busy spot, with families, kids, high chairs, hustle and bustle. Food was really excellent. Starter of salmon was plentiful, very well presented, and very tasty. Veg soup was very good, came with a lovely...crispy crouton, which would have been great with the salmon. Chef please note. Fish of the day was a stir fry of prawns, with noodles, veg and a soy sauce, very good according to wife. My chorizo carbonara was possibly the best carbonara I've ever had. I asked for the recipe but I'm still waiting. Desserts were good, though relying a bit heavily on chocolate. A bit more variety would have been better. A good cheeseboard, with plenty of Wicklow cheeses, rounded off a meal that was up to the standard of the more expensive Hugo's Michelin Rosette main restaurant. I'll be properly happy when I get the recipe for that Carbonara though."

"Lovely restaurant with a good pint of Guinness. Great location. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings in peace with delicious food , we got the lamb stew and chicken curry , it was gorgeous. Friendly staff, good service and great Guinness. We will be back!"
