When you eat well prepared Thai food you get to enjoy a really aromatic experience, with delicate individual flavours jumping out at you. The food at Thai 27 has a nice arrangement of vegetables and generous portions and it looks good, but somehow they seem to use a base broth (same no matter the meal) that smashes any subtle flavours and aromas you come to expect from Thai food.
