What Gordon doesn't like about The Cunning Man:
The food we had today was good and bad. The wife had a chicken skewer and she said that was lovely. However, I had the chicken burger and that was awful. The chips felt like they’ve been on the hot plate for the last two days and were hard. We got a seperate vegan menu that had 4 starters, 4 nets, whispers, cocktails and sides. we went for the vegan curry and tagliatelle who were really delicious. the personal was also super friendly
We stopped at this restaurant for brunch during a boating trip with friends. It was a charming and cozy pub with a friendly atmosphere. Despite its size, the pub has been divided into smaller sections, creating a private and intimate ambiance. The food and service were exceptional, and we were impressed by our waitress who memorized all five of our orders, including drinks, without writing anything down. Everything was delivered to our table correctly, making for a delightful experience. Though we didn't take any pictures at the pub, we have uploaded some from our holiday on Charlie the blue monkey's Instagram page.
We had a fantastic experience at the Cunning Man. Our waitress Mollie provided excellent service and the food was delicious. Despite not having a reservation, they were able to accommodate us and our dog for dinner. Mollie was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The dishes were all amazing and the desserts were especially good. We had high expectations and they were definitely met. We will be returning again in the future.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. Our server, Amelia, was excellent and made sure all our needs were taken care of. She served our drinks promptly and took our orders efficiently. The food was delicious, especially the triple fried chips that paired perfectly with the burger. The brownies were my favorite, so gooey and tasty. I highly recommend this place, it is definitely worth a visit!
Had a great afternoon meal, I recommend the beef and red wine pie, it was delicious. The waitress was very attentive and always asked if we wanted another drink just at the right time. Amelia was our server and was quick to clear the plates before we had pudding, I had a creme brûlée which was splendid. Might try a Sunday lunch next time. It’s really nice sat outside by the canal when it’s sunny
