This place never disappoints. Great Roast beef and good choice of ales. Very welcoming landlord and bar staff.

This is our fave place to eat. The food is always delicious and plenty of it! Staff are always lovely and friendly too x

It's PBA's local that should say it all. Good food, drink and staff!

when i came here the food was execellent and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere i would highly recommended it

"First visit for a couple of years to an old favourite. Despite the genial owner apologising for possible slowness due to cost of living pressures (use it or lose it! we were served as efficiently as ever. The feijoada (Brazil’s national dish was to die for, as ever; rissoles and other unusual sides were great too. Also a wide selection of amazing cakes and regional ingredients. Still a hidden gem in a quiet corner of Reading, but if you haven’t been, you’re missing out on a real treat."
