What User likes about The Spread Eagle:
really good authentic Indian cuisine, and I say that as someone with Indian heritage, so I don't give my praise easy! most of my family are now at least a few times here, and everyone has enjoyed eating. we also noticed that the cook came and spoke to most of the diners (including us). he was sensitive to the feedback and really cares about eating what is a big sign. "First visit for a couple of years to an old favourite. Despite the genial owner apologising for possible slowness due to cost of living pressures (use it or lose it! we were served as efficiently as ever. The feijoada (Brazil’s national dish was to die for, as ever; rissoles and other unusual sides were great too. Also a wide selection of amazing cakes and regional ingredients. Still a hidden gem in a quiet corner of Reading, but if you haven’t been, you’re missing out on a real treat."
