We've been going to La Hilaria for a dozen years now. It's a must stop on a day trip to the Sierra de Guadarrama, just north of Madrid, and especially for when we have people from out of town. We go early to La Granja de San Ildefonso (worth a visit) and then lunch a La Hilaria. Try to reserve at the Terraza. Make sure to break your piggy bank and bring every penny that is saved. The food was good but overpriced. They charge for the bread, so if you don’t want some make sure to tell them. We were actually going to go to the restaurant across the street but it was packed. Should have had a backup. View all feedback.

read moreThis is a lovely little rural restaurant. The staff are very friendly and helpful even though no English is spoken. The Menu is good and the food is very tasty.
