A little mom and pop shop. Simple but well-made food! This place deserves your business! The menu is not huge, has simple daily sandwiches and wraps with just a few feature dishes. But everything is done well! Children had grilled cheese sandwiches that came with soup, chips and a pimple. Fairly expensive! Soup has many fresh ingredients and is a hearty step up from a chain restaurant. The true treasure is in the Kor... View all feedback.
What O doesn't like about Picnic:
Absolutely disappointing pricing. Just wanted a soup and Salad to take back to work$7.75 for 12 oz Mushroom Soup and $10.50 for a garden salad. Grossly, overpriced. Left without ordering. View all feedback.
Visiting from out of town...I had seen this place before but had always been a bit leery of it what with the homeless people around downtown on a weekend. But necessity called and we stopped in here. Sur...prize!!! The owners were friendly and very helpful (even providing reading glasses for my temporary use! The restaurant was simple but they have a fairly extensive menu (but not like the big chain places...just a simple light meal, which is all we wanted and the restaurant is very clean. Our food was very good, all made to order and seemingly not too much out of a can (my chicken soup, I ate every drop . I would be very happy to go back there any time, and next time we 're in Red Deer we probably will! I happily recommend it.
Great place for a quick bite. A tad hard to locate from outside but it's like finding a hidden pearl inside mud! Tried other places nearby but found this restaurant to be my favourite. Highly recommend for lunch and breakfast! They have korean food as well.
Absolutely delicious lunch with a coffee. Great value for a small business. Had a club sandwich with a salad.

Beef barley soup was made home. Doesn't look, but don't fool. This place is worth it! Better get food and go over the street and eat in the dining area. We're doing Red Deer!
Extremely polite, fast, and tasty. What's not to like?
