What a lovely spot for a cafe. Just a stroll from the river where the platypus reside. We had coffee and scones with jam and cream. Delightful! Superb coffee! Hit the spot beautifully. A lovely area for the children to have a pretend tea party as well. Thank you. read more.

In nice weather you can even be served in the outdoor area, And into the accessible rooms also come guests with wheelchairs or physical limitations.

Ducked in here for a coffee after our early morning outing looking for platypus, found the opening hours of the rather limited - closed Mondays & Tuesdays, and open Wed - Sun from 9:30am - 3:30pm. These times don't work in well with the best times to view platypus along Broken River, which really frustrated us. We were lucky enough to get a coffee however at 9am but the owner was rather quiet as he was still setting... read more.

Swiss yodel burger was delicious- served complete with yodelling. The fries were superb- hot and crispy with subtle, unique seasoning. Fast, efficient service

"Oskar at platypus lodge broken river in eungella national park found my wallet left in the camping park. Oskar went over and above to try and find me to return my wallet he even put a hold on my banks cards for me, I highly recommend the drive for such a beautiful place to visit. "We enjoyed a late breakfast at the Broken River Kiosk and found the food and service great. The bacon was particularly tender and flavorsome. It is a lovely setting to enjoy a tasty breakfast or in deed any meal/snack amidst nature. Lots of happy contented and relaxed people were there along with us. The gift shop was also lovely with local art along with other unique souvenirs and an interested and friendly assistant too in attendance. A fantastic bonus for our visit was seeing a scarlet honeyeater in the bottle brush trees in the Broken River carpark areas."
