What Sandra P likes about The Sitting Room:
Quite a find. The menu took us by surprise. It was the first dog friendly place we’d found. All home made really good menu. Butternut and Leek soup with roll for £4. Options to suit all tastes. View all feedback.

What redscarfox doesn't like about The Sitting Room:
Called in for coffee and a bacon bun. Tries to be a bit upmarket but doesn’t quite succeed. Good coffee but the bacon brioche didn’t quite hit the mark and like most of the menu a bit overpriced. A bit surprised to be offered a suggested tip page when paying the bill by card. View all feedback.

Lovely ambiance, good music, delicious hand crafted cocktails at the Sitting Room in Saltburn . A great place for a relaxed evening.

The Sitting Room has so much potential with its menu choice and location. We ordered a beef siratcha bun and a pulled pork bun. The beef was really tasty but it...

"I ordered an 18th birthday cake, the giant cupcake with specific instructions on the decoration. I collected the cake and was overwhelmed with complete disappointment at staring at the ugliest cake I've ever seen. It was expensive and the idea was that it would be special, a centrepiece. Clearly, the person making the cake has no artistic ability, it was ugly, my instructions were not followed, it was hard to understand the thinking behind producing a giant cupcake in shades of beige that I can only describe as resembling a large turd. I definitely would not recommend spending money on the giant cupcakes for special occasions, a cheap shop brought cake is a much safer and less expensive option. I did my best to remove the ugly brown biscuits plonked on top of the cake which I had requested were not added but it still looked awful, a few brown chocolates placed on a beige buttercream, with cream writing on the cake base that was so faint, it wasn't worth making the effort of putting it there. Unbelievably bad for the price."

"We had a lovely lunch at Pavilion Cafe yesterday. As always the service is amazing and Rosie and her staff have got it just right. I had a mushroom omelette and it was honestly the best I have ever tasted! Full of spinach and tomatoes and bursting with flavour. Absolutely delicious. You are also guaranteed of a great coffee here which isn’t always easy to find. Definitely the No 1 choice in Montrose for lunch"
