What User likes about Palmer River Roadhouse:
The Road House has got a great little museum, telling the story of the Palmer River gold rush. The food is great, the owners friendly and will give you heaps of information about the area and it's history.Powered sites and spacious dome tents are available if you want to stay over night (recommended). What User doesn't like about Palmer River Roadhouse:
Well, this was our first drive to Cooktown in 46 years. I was 25 years of age then, and maybe this roadhouse was not there in 1970. After two and one half hours driving from Puerto Douglas, we needed a break. Enjoyed a reasonably decent flat white, seated under a shady table outside. So, no food..just the coffee. Think we will pop in on the return trip south. View all feedback.
