Use to be one of our favorite places. The last few times we've been, the food has been well below par. We tried to play it safe this time, and again, we were disappointed. We ordered Cesar salads with steak tips. Some of the steak was good, other parts were terrible due to the toughness of the meat. The Cesar dressing was homemade, but made with nothing but mayonnaise. This was our first time at Hillside Tavern. We were greeted upon arrival by the only server in the restaurant. She was very nice and friendly even as we realized she was taking care of the whole place all by herself her high spirits did not falter.
