The dining room at the back of the pub is very well laid out, away form the drinking section at the front. We went on a quiet Friday lunchtime. and therefore were able to enjoy very good service along with decent food. We hadn't been for many years when it was called the Pigeon Pair. Table booked for 12.45, finally got food at 2.30. Dreadful service, no acknowledgement of the wait. Missed old items and small portions. Such a shame, used to like this pub but won’t be back. read more.
