This restaurant has a wide variety of vegan options clearly labeled on the menu, definitely deserving of 5 stars! From curry and soups to noodles, rice, appetizers, and dessert, you can't go wrong with anything you order here. I once called in while driving and the hostess was extremely helpful in assisting me with ordering a noodle dish, even though I forgot the name. She was very knowledgeable about which items wer... What Karianne Herman doesn't like about Bangkok Cuisine:
The food isn't great and it's a little overpriced. I ordered yellow curry with chicken and it tasted more like a tomato base sauce with a kick on it. It was a deep orange color and didn't look like yellow curry usually looks. It tasted nothing like yellow curry. The taste of what she brought was not bad, but if you order curry and get something completely different, it is quite disappointing. The chicken in it was ov... View all feedback.
This is one of our favorite places to eat in Reno. We love the Mixed Veggie Pad Thai (hold the egg and fish sauce) and the fresh mixed veggie spring rolls, but everything I've had there was very tasty. Most entrees can be made vegan by opting for tofu as the meat and by making sure no egg or fish sauce are used. Some sauces are pre-mixed and can't be made vegan, but in most cases, they can accommodate it. I have been very impressed with how knowledgeable the staff is about veganism and what it entails.
Make sure to ask for vegan what they won't get angry about. kürbis curry is so delicious.
The first time I ate here as a vegan, the server assured me that they could make curry without fish sauce. it was delicious! the second time I went in, the server (differently than the first) said that all sauces were prefabricated and were not vegan, so I had to stir fry sweet and rice. because of the confusion I find it easier not to go here. make sure they ask about the sauces.
The table service is great, the Hostess has issues, and no brown rice. I find the brown rice issue to be unacceptable. I'll never return.
Disappointed. Not authentic. Very good. Basil roasted rice was pretty sweet.. Thom yum soup $10 2) was so small bowl good for just one adult. We wanted spicy, looked like they sprinkled up cold flakes and served like that?. No hint of lemongra's taste at all. Take me a bad acid. The Bangkok sizzle also disappointed me in terms of price and share. A few small pieces of beef floated on the sea of the sauce.
