I found Mont Rouge to be trying very hard to earn 5 stars but just can’t get over the line. Like other reviewers have said, the service starts off great but wains as the night wears on (eg: we asked for more water 3 times...before it came). The food is cooked very well but the accompaniments to my meal (deer) was just bland. The “specialty” being apple baked in pork blood was bland at best.... been there, done that a... Excellent restaurant over all. The waitress was so helpful in selecting the food. The food was fresh and well served and presented. We had great time in relaxed environment.
Food here is excellent, products are seasonal with lots of local flavors and delicious presentations. Ate there for a wedding reception as well as occasional meals, never deceived by food quality. A must for someone spending time in Haute-Nendaz!!
