Community Canteen - Reston

Pricy place but the food is high quality and very, very good. The Banana Muffin and the Orange Glazed Chocolate Chip Muffin are so delicious that you can have them as a dessert. They also belong to frequent diners, so you get points towards free food as you buy.

I would give the community of Canteen 3.5 stars. I tried this place for breakfast. First, it is not easy to find. I think it's more like Bechtel's personal food. It is located at the back of the building (can you reach it by going to the outside or going through the building and the back entrance. It is squared, with clean tables inside and outside. The staff is very friendly but you need to repeat your order (not first language). The food is very good and very fresh: I have a custom omelet with potatoes and sausage links and a mocha. The food was not fat and the potatoes are perfectly seasoned. The Mocha was like that. It's a bit loud with a kind of stubborn mechanical humiliating sound (HVAC, maybe? , and upbeat music that is just loud enough, you need to speak when you eat with someone (although I didn't make the music, and found it energeticizing with my breakfast . I heard some people complain that it's too cold, but it didn't bother me. (Granted, I write this during the summer, so I hope that their heat in winter will be as intense as the walls almost completely consist of windows. If I had a little sticker shock, if I was up, I would say they charge DC prices (a little over $15, ouch . If the prices were a bit more reasonable and the coffee was a little better, I would give the community Canteen a solid 4 stars.

In an office building, but really a hidden gem. Good coffee. Good pastries. But breakfast is great. Very good omelet.

The food is fresh, strong health conscious and the price is the same with quality. Unlimited salad pages and comes under $8 for not meat eaters.

Great selection of breakfast items. Good coffee. Only complaint would be is that the Oatmeal is always cold.
