"We were down from Scotland for my neice wedding and original booked Sabadtians. My brother and family joined us. I had the fantastic evening meal on Friday. It was using local fresh produce and a limited choice, which took me out of my comfort zone, but it was well worth it! The breakfast was stunning! Thanks Richard"

"I was recommended by a friend when looking for someone to make a 70th Birthday cake for my sister. I have never eaten in this coffee shop, but when I went in and saw the cakes, I knew it looked very promising. The owners were lovely when I explained what I wanted, and I have to say the finished cake (chocolate) was exactly what I'd asked for. The cake itself was delicious, very moist and everyone particularly liked the fact that the filling was a ganache and raspberry jam as opposed to just buttercream. As a bonus the cake also freezes well! Handy for any leftovers. This shop will now be my first port of call for coffee and cake, although the lunch time menu looked also very tempting. Lovely atmosphere and extremely pleasant owners."

"Despite online reviews of a ‘grumpy’ owner we found him extremely friendly and helpful! The meal was delicious: I had the chicken and my husband had the sea bass, and the views towards the hills from the garden are superb. One tiny caveat is that I would suggest a proper topping on the apple and plum crumble, rather than a sprinkling of muesli. That said, I would highly recommend the Windmill Inn. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Eating? delicious. presentation? inconceivable. personal behaviou? friendly, mature and overall excellent. price? suitable. at the covid 19 restrictions? acceptable. timing? there I had to think if I should adjust my assessment. Now don't get me wrong, it's not like I waited two hours to eat. it was within a reasonable time, and I suspect that the presentation for eating takes some time. but if they go there for food and expect to leave within an hour, not. it is not pub, and it is certainly not mcdonald’s. you have to wait until you have a good meal. on the other hand, I have to give the staff 10/10. one of the bartenders who had mixed my cocktail (aviation) had asked me personally to say that he is aware that he accidentally used another liqueur (black berry instead of vanille) and that he would be happy to restore it with the right liqueur. but since I had never had this drink before I had not recognized the difference, I had it, it tasted delicious and I had no complaints. 10/10 to the personal."
