This egg tart place is LEGIT ya'll! A plus if you can speak Chinese. Order ahead of time. It is quite expensive but you won't get these anywhere else in town just as good. Traditional Hong Kong style egg tarts with a flaky crust and smooth custard. Sold by the dozen in a pizza box! I can't wait to go back next time I'm there. Just as good as the egg tarts in San Francisco's Chinatown. If you pick up towards the end o... View all feedback.
If you haven't ordered their egg tarts, you're missing out! You need to call ahead, they are made to order and it's cash only. Totally worth it!
This is hands-down the best Hong Kong style egg tarts in the Dallas area! Don’t be surprised if the owner hands you a pizza box either, it’s a fun conversation starter for many.I discovered this place back in March 2020, right when COVID-19 hits, and have been supporting them since. Prices went up over the years, and it’s encouraged that you order a dozen instead of buying individuals. It costs $30 for a dozen, or $5 each— you do the math. Make sure to call ahead to place your order, and bring cash when you pick up.I did have some difficulties when ordering ahead sometimes due to the language barrier. The wife speaks Mandarin, but if you get the husband, then you can order in English on the phone. The egg tarts are big and filling, and the crust is super flaky with every bite. The store is your definition of a hole-in-the-wall, so don’t be judgmental, or else you’ll miss out on an amazing bakery. My boyfriend’s brother said it’s very good and can easily be compared with the ones he ate in San Francisco’s Chinatown. I’m not sure if they sell anything else but egg tarts nowadays, but there are photos of customized cakes on the table if you want to ask. Highly recommended!!
Best egg tarts in Texas, maybe the world. Making the pastry is hard, even hard to find in Hong Kong. Call 10 mins in advance so u don’t have to wait. And he doesn’t accept 50 and 100 bills
Really good egg tarts! Probably one of the best that I've had that is made this way! The crust is really buttery and the egg filling is soft and decadent. It is really expensive, but considering they are a small business and really old (looks like they're about to retire) I think it's fair.
The owner is super sweet and refused to take a tip! I’ve only tried their cake roll so far but it’s amazing and super worth the money.
