What User doesn't like about Hot Star Large Fried Chicken:
Food was probably 2-3 stars had some spicy chicken it was hot and fresh and exactly what we expected. I should have been concerned that lunch time and every other restaurant in the area was busy but this one was empty. Service was mediocre but when you go to pay there is a sign that you need to tip in order to eat in?????? That’s a 1 star review at best!Give good service with great food and I’ll be happy to tip you b... View all feedback. What YVR Dishes likes about Hot Star Large Fried Chicken:
Tried the hot cheese fried chicken. It was crispy, cheesy, very garlicky, and juicy!! The meat itself was heavily seasoned and salty, so I recommend that you purchase/bring a drink. Luckily, I ordered the rose lychee soda with my chicken. It was quite refreshing and helped cut the greasiness of the meat since It was a little oily. read moreDespite some mixed experiences with service and side dishes, this restaurant excels in its main focus: fried chicken. The hot and fresh chicken, particularly the signature big fillet, is highly recommended. However, inconsistencies in food preparation, long wait times, and unappetizing behaviors by staff members detract from the overall dining experience. The mandatory tipping policy for dine-in customers is off-putting. For those seeking authentic Taiwanese street food, the big fried chicken fillet is a must-try. Stick to the chicken and drinks for an enjoyable meal that embodies the restaurant's Taiwanese roots.
