I ordered the jambalaya. It seems to be a good dish with lots of meat and delicious ingredients but it is so spicy hot that I am not really able to enjoy it. I will likely try it again, but next time will ask if they can turn down the heat so I can actually taste the flavour. View all feedback.
What Wesley Quadros doesn't like about Monkey 9 Brewing Co:
We have been going here for a few years for the soft pretzel. It has been replaced with timbit sized pretzel balls soaked in butter. Lacking rock salt. Their cheese sauce is now lacking cheese. The cajun pizza didn 't have any cajun spices. The server was very slow and forgetful. He brought the table next to us a white wine when they ordered a red and he brought us a soda water when we ordered cranberry. They appeared t... View all feedback.
I arrived a few minutes past the restaurant's opening time (12:10). Upon arrival, I observed that four tables, including ours, were already occupied. However, our wait for someone to take our order was unusually prolonged. The duration was so extensive that we eventually approached the hostess to inquire if our server would be attending to us. I want to emphasize that our server handled the situation admirably and was quite attentive. The challenge seemed to stem from the fact that there were only two servers and one hostess, which appeared insufficient to manage the workload, especially given the early hour. Moreover, it was apparent that the kitchen was experiencing a backlog as well, considering the delay we experienced.Unfortunately, our food (consisting of just two dishes) didn't reach our table until 12:50. This timing posed a difficulty as we had plans to catch a movie at 1:00. The process took nearly 45 minutes for us to be served a simple Caesar salad and a pasta dish. Instead of savoring our meal on-site, we unexpectedly found ourselves having to pack it up to take away. Given our relatively early arrival, it was unexpected that it would take nearly an hour to serve two dishes. It's noteworthy that it wasn't even a bustling movie weekend like during the showings of Barbie and Oppenheimer, yet our service during those times was superior.Evidently, the operational aspect of the restaurant is where the issue arises.Having visited this establishment on four occasions, this disappointing experience is an anomaly. Unfortunately, this encounter has left a negative impression, and we won't be returning.
The Czech lager on tap is unacceptable. I'd be surprised if this brewery ever cleans their lines. That being said the server very kindly returned our beer without question. The food was decent and service was good and quick. Unfortunately our visit was plagued by the beer. Would not recommend for that reason.
I recently visited Monkey 9 Brewing and overall, it was a great experience. The food was delicious and definitely worth the value. I mean on Monday they have 59 cent wings! The craft beers are great too! The variety of options on the menu was impressive. However, I did notice that some of the dishes I ordered were not as hot in temperature as I would have preferred. Despite this minor issue, the taste and quality of the food was still fantastic. The only downside to my visit was that the prices on the menu did not match what was advertised for the Monday night special (big beers); signs say $7 and online as well, when I got my bill $7.50. Nevertheless, the friendly and attentive server mgr made it right and corrected the price. Overall, I would recommend giving Monkey 9 Brewing a try for their tasty food and great value. I'll be back.Kid-friendliness: Dogs on the patio
