"We went to a movie and after 8pm were looking for a place to eat. Monday evening after 8pm Nelson is like a ghost town. Most restaurants are closed. We were refused food service at one place because we are closing . Our second stop was Babagatto. There were two couples finishing up their dinner and one leaving. When I asked if we can still get some food, I was told that we can with a smile. We had delicious TAGLIATELLE salsiccia del Babagatto, funghi e parmigiano with a bottle of very good wine. When we were closing the establishment about 10minutes to 9pm, instead of getting desert and coffee we got a delicious loaf of bread to take home with us. Perfect ending of a lovely evening. We will keep coming back."

"Friendly staff. Had a tasting paddle for their home brew... Not advertised well though. Just ask! Delicious food, generous helpings. Pictured here are mushroom chips, buttermilk chicken and pulled pork loaded fries. We got that for two big eaters but couldn't finish it. Totally recommend!"

"Beautiful vineyard tasty wines. Wine tastings are done in the foyer, alternatively flights with larger pours can be ordered to drink outside or inside. Recommend trying the dessert wine if that’s your thing. From entrance to exit the service was prompt and attentive. Cheese platter was the perfect snack for our wine flights. Will be back"
