We popped in without a reservation on a Saturday night and easily got a table but it was busy by 7 pm. Service was a tad slow but our server gave us a heads up about being short staffed and was very apologetic. Food was good: my creamy mushroom soup was the best I've had loads of thinly sliced shrooms with beautiful earthy flavour and and soup was perfect consistency for me. The food at Moxies was great, as we have come to expect. What made this visit stand out was our server Kristin... knowledgeable, attentive, excellent service!

The tuna poke bowl was excellent. First time I had had cabbage rice. It also included avocado, egg, radish, ahi tuna etc. all well seasoned The shrimp Thai coco...

"I liked to hear a grilling place in the opposite open. the menu looked great, but after receiving the food the portion and quality, where very disappointing. I wanted to try the brisket with sausage sandwich, but they said they left both. that was not a problem that I understand that grill meat needs time and when it is gone, it is gone. I got that huh and sriracha. it was bland and the mac and cheese side was too fat. it wasn't terrible, but not worth $10"

"Not a fan. This place changed owners (I think) and it is not as good now. The new owners are trying for a mix of their family ethnicities which is ok in theory but not great in practice. I believe it was the owner that greeted us, sat us, and waited on us. Service was great, no complaints there (hence the 3 stars). However, walking in we were greeted with a very strong smell of I'm not sure what incense, air freshener I don't know but it was overwhelming. In my opinion you should smell the great food walking into a restaurant, not an overwhelming scent that doesn't belong. I smelled it the entire time it was there never got used to it. The food was mediocre at best. My husband for the shrimp and grits and he was expecting some Salvadoran flair of some sort but he said it was very bland. The portion size was also small considering the price. I ordered an Italian option from the menu and chose the chicken Parmesan. It was okay but, honestly, I like my own better. Nothing special and no extras no starter salad, bread, Parmesan to add nothing but a bowl of spaghetti noodles with a piece of chicken on top. It left a lot to be desired in my opinion. Maybe just not our thing but I don't think we will be back."
