"The best places always take a little finding well worth it though. Slow cooked brisket with home cooked chips and slaw. The rub they used packed more flavour than you can find for that price anywhere I can think of.. Honest, Tasty and Great value can't be wrong... be back soon with the rest of our posse"

"Been here a few times now while passing at work. Every time the food has been amazing and u always get plenty. staff are very friendly and very helpful and of course the main thing the food is delicious and portions are really good sizes. If u go try a protein drink aswell you’ll not regret it"

"Absolutely abysmal. Waited 2 hours for our food. We had a reservation at 7pm and didn't get our drinks ordered until half 7. They had ran out of a lot of drinks and frequently forgot how many we had ordered. After waiting an hour and a half for food, despite being the only ones in there bar two over small tables, we were told that a mac and cheese couldn't be made as there was no pasta so a member of our party was left without a meal. She has waited 2 hours to be told she couldn't eat at a restaurant. A vegan meal came with cheese. I asked the manager if it was vegan cheese and she said yes but when the chef was asked he kicked off because it didn't say vegan on the order slip. If I had eaten that meal I would have been in hospital. I had to wait so long for a replacement for that I asked for it to be put in a takeaway box. The drinks that were made were not made to a high quality and we had to ask for them to be redone properly. They only had about 3 songs on repeat so eventually after listening to the same thing about 20 times over we asked them to just turn the music off. The food that was provided was very poor and overpriced. They did give us a few things on the house because of how much they'd f ed up but I wouldn't have paid at all if I had been on my own. The bill was just short of £200 but I wouldn't have paid £20 for it. This place is absolutely dreadful. Do not waste your time there."

"Marked down on the atmosphere only because it was lunch time on a Thursday so quite quiet. Otherwise could not fault and would highly recommend. We sat in the courtyard which was lovely and bright. Service was excellent and food delicious. Also dog friendly. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"Fantastic culinary experience……… My wife and I, along with our dear friends visited The County restaurant, 13 The Green, Aycliffe Village, County Durham today, Saturday the 19th of March 2022). As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by a lovely waitress/ hostess called Claire. She showed us to our table , gave us some menus and took our drinks order. We all chose different starters and mains. Kieran, our waiter, brought our meals and we were not disappointed. Why?, because: 1) The food was well presented 2) The plates were red hot 3) The food was piping hot 4) The food was excellent, tasty and plentiful 5) The waiter/waitress Claire and Kieran) were super friendly, polite and professional, nothing was too much trouble. 6) The pub/restaurant was spotless, warm and inviting. A truly fantastic culinary experience. Well done to all at The County restaurant."
