"Tchibo sales point is no longer present. Still delicious coffee, excellent pastry, and extremely friendly staff in bakery and café. In September 2017, E.E.A. is changing. The cafe share comes, like bakery store, on the ground floor. Then everyone can enjoy the delicious delicious delicious deliciousness of Knittel! Don't get all smoked up!"

"I went there for lunch with my Mum and didn't expect a lot of choice to be there for vegans. However, i was positively surprised. The friendly waitress came back with a few options. I decided to go with the mushroom risotto and it was delicious as well as very nicely decorated! Thanks to the Chef to offer nice vegan meals. I certainly will be back for more :"

"I visited the place with the extended family. Parked behind the building, under a large restaurant sign. No indication that this was not guest parking. When I returned, a white van blocked the car clearly intentional. I walked back to the restaurant and asked...if the van belonged to the restaurant, the waiter was unfriendly, told me that I was not supposed to park there. When I asked where I can park, he stated that there is no parking. Blocking cars from unparking is passive, aggressive behavior. I suggest you put a “private parking” sign up instead of harassing guests."

"After a long hike we came to the Kronenhütte mountain lodge on a recommendation from Helmut (Curly) and were warmly welcomed by Lisa and the Junior Chef. The Kronenhütte with its ambience has impressed us completely. We ate sensation cheese and then by far the best Kaiserschmarrn, which we ate on a hut in countless holidays in Allgäu and Austria. Both dishes are an absolute must and must not be missed. Since we have friends in Allgäu, the Kronenhütte mountain lodge will definitely become part of our journeys. Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable afternoon."

"We stayed for 7 days at the hotel. It was quite an experience. The place is large but relatively basic by European hotel standards.It is more like a bed and breakfast place that you find in the UK. We had rooWe stayed for 7 days...at the hotel. It was quite an experience. The place is large but relatively basic by European hotel standards. It is more like a bed and breakfast place that you find in the UK. We had rooms which are furnished in what can only be described as eclectic manner. We had an awful pastel mural covering one wall of the local scenery and fake Greek plinths as a TV stand. The rooms have separate WC and bathroom that has a shower and no bath. We did have spectacular view of the mountains and castles especially at night when one is lit up. The breakfasts were superb but the main meals tended to be very similar. The vegetarian food was not good and the meat eaters said that theirs was not much better. There is a much better eating venue across the road at a local tavern. The hotel does offer free use of bikes which is excellent for touring local sites. One aspect that disappointed me slightly was that from the brochure it appears that this place is located in the countryside. It is not. It is in the middle of village which must be said is charming. ms which are furnished in what can oly be described as ecletic"
