What Karson Simonis likes about Hotel Alpfrieden:
The hotel restaurant has an amazing view and we enjoyed watching the sun go down and disappear from the mountains opposite. Tip: there are outdoor heaters for the tables next to the building which is useful on a cool summer evening. Menu was confusing with many choices and about three different menus. I enjoyed my salmon, but my partner was disappointed with a lack of taste to the wild boar. Staff were friendly. View all feedback.

The restaurant is Gilde-rated and I was having the dinner part of my half board at another hotel because the restaurant there closed on Mondays. The starter of snails provencale was absolutely divine, the use of herbs was absolutely masterful so I was realy looking forward to my main course of Zuercher Geschnetzeltes but the veal was overcooked adn teh Roesti soggy.
