My fiancé and I have been wanting to try this new restaurant.So I ordered various items to go; the chicken and Mole, beef dorados, Posole and crunchy chicken tacos. First time at the place and only wanted a couple pastor tacos and a carne asada burro. No carne asada available. After 2 other walk ins that ordered AFTER me got their food I had my concerns. MAYBE they were making the tacos al pastor from scratch. "Worth a special trip, Nickel 's Diner. After we quickly and graciously greeted the door and sit in a comfortable stand, we looked at the menu and my partner decided to order the 2-FER and I ordered the Single Cheeseburger with one side of French Pommes. The 2_FER was delicious with absolutely no concern. The Single Burger was an excellent delicious burger I really enjoyed every bite. The frits were freshly cooked and hot. When I travel across the country, I rarely find a diner/cafe that is consistently good."

"Overpriced and not so good. I ordered a molcajete mixto. It was beef and shrimp in tomatillo sauce. Sauce was too hot to enjoy and shrimp was non existent. My wife had noodles and chicken. She said noodles seemed fresh made and they were good. I will not return again."

"Cute restaurant, really liked the patio. But the food was lacking in a lot of ways. We got calamari and it was so rubbery, I had to spit it out. We got two pizzas, and they were just ok. We also got the seafood dish with noodles and the shrimp was tough and there wasn’t much of a flavor to the red sauce. I had a piña colada and it was watered down. I had the Apple and spinach salad. It was also just ok. The dressing wasn’t that great. Our waiter was super friendly though. Probably won’t go back."
