A nice spot in a tiny strip with some other restaurants in a residential area. Not a ton of parking but it wasn't too busy when we went on a Sunday afternoon after getting back from hiking. The burritos and taco plates are huge. The salad was disappointing (mostly in size). The food runs a bit expensive. They don't have many small plates to dhare. Also, for my fellow non meat eaters they charge $3 extra for shrimp bu... View all feedback.
What Denise Leaps doesn't like about Primos Restaurant And Tequila Bar:
The place is very clean and modern. The drinks were amazing as well as the attentive servers. I had high expectations from the reviews. Sadly, the food wasn?t seasoned and was bland. Mexican food is packed with flavor and they missed the mark. Mexican dishes are flavorful and often simple to make with wonderful sauces. If they change up their menu to authentic Mexican food this place would be out of this world. View all feedback.
A twist on typical Mexican food. I was a bit skeptical at first but the food was tasty and the drinks were made perfectly. Will definitely be returning.
First time visit to this restaurant. Came here for a work meeting and we were seated in the side room. The food is delicious! We received a basket of chips with tomatillo salsa and a black bean dip. The chips were crunchy and nicely salted while the salsa and bean dip were tasty. The bean dip is addicting delicious. For my entree, I had a tostada salad with pastor. The lettuce was a nice spring mix with lots of frisee, atop a crispy tostado with rice, black beans, and lots of pastor meat. This was a satisfying meal as it was a huge portion. I could only eat half of it. Our server was very friendly and did an excellent job serving our large group of 16 people. I'm happy to have been introduced to this restaurant and can't wait to return!
Good food, great service! I had a stuffed burrito, added grilled veggies ???? and it was so filling!!! I felt it walking back to my truck. A mile away. But a good walk from the truck stop.
I loved it, first i will say, I was raised on the border of the US and Mexico. I also lived in Central America for several years so I'm not an expert but I know what I like and this place, me gusta muy mucho! I had the Momia Burrito con carnitas. It was so good, the carnitas were cooked perfectly! For those who don't know, carnitas are simular to an American pork loin, a slow cooked pork dish. When served in a burrito should be meaty, not dry and not super greasy, and definitely not soaked in mole, salsa Rojo, or grease. They should not soak through your tortilla. I only write this because someone said they were not good, and I disagree! Someone also said not authentic, based on what? Tourism? Guadalajara? Uncle Billy's taco truck? There are several states in Mexico and every one has a different way of cooking, just like North Carolina BBQ vs Memphis Tennessee. Needless to say I loved the food. The bean dip cooked with grase tocino! Yum! was so good, so fresh as was all the food. I would go out of my way to eat here again. I don't usually post pictures of the end of my food but I was so impressed with the quality I had to show that there was meat from start to finish! Please enjoy this restaurant as I did! Thank you primos! me gusta mucho! Oh, the mixed drinks are made fresh, not store bought mixers,#Mexicanmule!
