We ate here on our visit to Lake Garda. Firstly the wine was very good, all local wines. The food sadly let the restaurant down. Local traditional food but lacked taste and the fish was on the dry side. Maybe we ordered wrongly but both of us left disappointed. View all feedback.
Nice easy dinner friendly staff and lovely homemade pasta dishes. Families with young children there too. Happy vibe and nothing a problem. Extensive wine list.
If you like to eat where the Italians eat, go here. Very traditional with lovely food and great service. Pasta is all homemade and wine was lovely.
We walked by this restaurant on our first evening in Riva and I was enticed by the traditional (and somewhat unusual menu. We decided to have dinner there two nights later and we were rewarded with some very fine dishes. I had ravioli stuffed with local white fish (tasty, cooked to perfection, and served with an excellent, simple dressing. My partner had very flavorful Canederli with speck, a typical dish from Trentino. Our desserts were a semifreddo and a chocolate salami. The latter was by far our favorite of the two (the semifreddo was good, but not as good as the rest of the meal. The wines and grappas were the cherry on the cake of a lovely evening in charming Riva del Garda!
I chose this place because of the reviews on trip advisor. I had used a few recommendations from TA and been very pleased with all of the places I had tried in Riva. This was dinner on our last night there and it was very disappointing especially since there are so many good places to eat in the town. I had the white fish ravioli and Hubby had the lake fish. Both were not very good. The raviolis were dry and Hubby said his fish was mainly bones and also dry also vegetables on the side didn’t taste fresh. The bread had been cut a few hours before so was a bit stale. We had intended having dessert as they did a good looking semifreddo but after the first course we just wanted to go. I asked for a glass of house white wine since there was none by the glass on the wine list. I got a slightly sparkling wine which wasn’t to my taste. I couldn’t drink it but by then Hubby noticed a black board with wines by the glass so I was able to pick a specific wine. The waitress noticed and said she would take it off the bill which was very nice of her. I didn’t sample much on the menu which is why I didn’t give it 2 stars but I wouldn’t recommend this place there are far better restaurants in Riva.
