"I've heard a lot of great things about Giorgios, but I had never been. At first site, I thought the grounds decor were beautiful. Most of the staff was nice, courteous accommodating.The cocktail hour was good, not great, but good. To my surprise, there were not a lot of selections and long lines. Round tables handle crowds better since more people can get to items easier faster. Some items were not replenished and were empty, and there certainly were not enough tables for guests to sit at. The seafood was Amazing!! However, I prefer not to have to crack shells for lobster or crab. Especially when they're on tiny plates, you're all dressed up with not much room to sit eat. It's not ideal. They should have been shelled.The appetizer at dinner was delicious but disappointingly cold. My main course (homemade pasta) was very salty, the cheese was not melted enough, and the sauce was bland. Very dissapointing.It seemed all very rushed from salad to dessert. Wasn't terrible, but I definitely have been to better venues (especially food wise). Sorry to say I was not impressed."

"This is one of the best seafood restaurant I had on a long island. Everything is delicious and fresh including Cole Slav, Pickle etc. My wife loves Pickles for the first time. The seafood is absolutely delicious and fresh. The steamed vegetables are the best I ever had. Fresh offer with some sweetness. The owner is so friendly and has absolute pride on his business."

"I arrived almost 30 minutes before closing, with a series of patrons still eat. the doors were closed. the woman who works there shook her head and told me it was already closed. as someone who has been working in the service industry for years, I get that late customers can be inconvenient, but that is not acceptable to just turn away people when they are obviously still open for another half hour. probably it won't go back soon. what a shame:"

"The Birchwood was such a surprise find in Riverhead! The restaurant is very cozy and has very fun decor. My partner and I weren't too hungry so we were thinking of ordering just the combo platter to share but our waitress warned us there would be a sharing fee so we ordered an extra pierogi appetizer to avoid the fee. Understandable, no complaints. The pierogis were delicious, fried to a great crisp and filled with cheesy goodness. Everything on the platter was very good and a very fair portion. Highly recommend!"
