"What a nice time we had for the first time at Sal’s yesterday. My son is in LOVE with the steak and cheese sub and wants to come back weekly (it was not only delicious, but also a considerable amount of steak). I have the lunch buffet... from salad dressing to pizza, as I haven't had since NY, and especially the garlic knots, it was fabulous. Stephanie took care of us and the atmosphere is open, light, friendly and happy. An entertaining place to get wonderful food! Recommend Sal’s."

"Viet subs roanoke va. I have eaten banh mi from north carolina to northern virginia and the best place by far is viet subs! I tried everything, and I was never disappointed. when they enter first, they will notice that it is a very clean, bright and welcoming restaurant. the owners tu' and khoi a young couple who lives the American dream are very friendly and helpful. Now we're here to eat. the basis of each great sandwiches is the brot, and the baguettes here are amazing light airy pieces of the sky with a sharp crust that would be the envy of any French baker. "I have no idea how this place stays in business with burgers that are so-so with little flavoring or wow taste. Steak fries are blah and sweet potatoe fries taste frozen. Shouldn't it at least be fresh?? How hard is it to cut up a potatoe??<br br/>The highlight of the evening for me was the pretzel bites. We're served hot and loved both of the sauces they came out with."

"I decided to wing it and give this place a try this week. The vibe was that of a typical micro pub. Standing room only at 7:00 pm. waited only about 15 minutes for a table though. The staff was pleasant and not pushy as I looked it over carefully. I started with the appetizer of shrimp. These were spot on! 6 big juicy ones that had some house made beer batter. "Fresh Cuban cuisine in house style. a must visit!. talk about a hidden gem. this Cuban restaurant, which is run by its wonderfully friendly recreation center, is a must in roanoke. definitiw away, unless they travel williamson rd a lot, but the all-round worth. our family eats at least 2 or 3 times in the month. the vaca frita is amazing and it cooks fresh every day. no rest from the day before the mouth-water fantasy."

"I have now visited Mission BBQ in at least 3 cities. I have been several times to the Mission BBQ in Fayetteville. Another restaurant that you can expect great food and great service no matter what location you visit. They really got me with their support for our veterans. Love how they design the locations. Love the BBQ. Always a treat for the guys that work with me. We had lunch 2 days while working near by. After lunch my sub contractor purchased more BBQ to take home. I had a minute to meet one of the managers onsite. It is a apparent they love what they do. Plenty of people coming here to eat."
