excellent and authentic. steak burrito or huhn burrito, they can't go wrong. I have been eating here for almost 20 years, decor has changed, yet the burritos are fantastic. also try the fish taco. the “sketchy” quarter is safe. katy corner from the road is an old grand hotel that now a low income high rise. directly at the rande of the inner city of Rockford they should check it. laptoom View all feedback.

I've been going to this restaurant for 11 years. I love her eating, never had a complain. tacos de lengua are amazing, chicken tamals are always good and filled with huh. guacamole loves it. Hit sauce is always sharp, horchata can never go wrong. I love eating and the atmosphere in the restaurant. I always recommend this place to everyone. best Mexican restaurant in the city.
Legitimate authentic Mexican cuisine. I liked the pastor and the chorizo, a Dine-in service is a little strange. order them on the counter for delivery to the table. to leave, they must get their check from a server. clean restaurant in a somewhat sketchy quarter.

Good service, good food and open late. Ate here for the first time after an IceHogs game and the tacos and burritos were good. The price for a burrito was under $6. Los Portales hit the spot. Oh and they sell beer.
Best steak in town. Ordered to your liking on the Los Portales Carne Asada Plate. Steak ounces and quality/dollar$ ratio can not be matched for what you pay and the great quality in the meat and their signature seasoning! Great chefs! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!!
