What MDdiner likes about Amina Thai Restaurant:
Went for dinner. Excellent whole fish with basil sauce. Sizable, meaty fish with crisp skin and without a heavy coating. Drunken noodle dish also quite good. Only downside was the chicken satay which needed to be warmer and had a coating that did not add to the taste (did come with side sauces, however). Service was good; responsive without overdoing it. Overall, a good local restaurant and we plan to return. read more.

I ordered a chicken entree for takeout. Way too much oil, asked for medium spice and couldn't taste any spice at all, quite bland. Could not eat it because all you could taste on your mouth was the oil. So disappointing. "One of my favorite light-lunchboxes in dc. they have in the ground themselves rice, nudel and or salat bowl with a southeast Asian flair. A.k.a dressings are more fish sauce and acid-based, which is delicious and refreshing, but still tasteful. when I first visited, I think it was one of the owners who worked the front so that there was a little more love in the salat than my new visit, but the employee helped me this time was still very friendly. the chicken salad is always a winner and they can choose how sharp they want it. they also have a series of vegan dressings and various protein options or even a kicherbsen curry when they look different. the star of my visit was this time the buttersemolina cake. this cache was so soft and creamy with a warm fat syrup, and the nuts and light texture of the smolina really works in this cake. an extremely decadent way to finish and otherwise light meal"
