What David C doesn't like about Whole Deli:
Two and a half stars. Overall so-so and overpriced. The BLT sandwich was very good and stuffed with bacon. The Boars Head ham sandwich on the other hand, not so good. Not much ham (and it was shaved) and it was not particularly flavorful. The sandwiches, two drinks, and a bag of chips $30.00. The staff was very nice, but it's unlikely that I'll return. Excellent service, breakfast sandwiches are the bomb! and even better, hardly any wait. maybe just not a busy time when I went.
Place needs a little face lift, but the sandwiches make up for it. probably the only real grinder shop around. bread always seems fresh, grinders are usually packed pretty good, and the people who work there always seems to be nice and polite...its a good place to go for lunch!
Not often in the area, but if I am, I have to get a Godfather Panini. It's amazing!
If everyone knew a block from the subway, from Whole Deli, they'd drive over here. Fresh. Delicious. Burns with taste. Better than any sandwich option for miles.
