"One of my rare 5 points, though discounting vacation feeling it is more a 4,5/5 but hey that's why we are on vacation. We did the full stress test with two families and four kids luckily we found the paillote to be filled with other families at least at the early hour of the evening. Food was truly excellent and imaginative. Quite an achievement given the remote location. The gambas grilles were six very very large members of their species and came with tasteful sides and a clever seasoning. The fish was applauded by my friend as was the lamb. My highlight were the ravioli du chef. And don't miss the desserts. I have no clue where they learned their patisserie but each of them was a delicacy. Service didn't waver given the combined assault of what must have been 10+ kids who then mostly went off to play at the beach. Attentive, polite, fast. Magnificent setting at the Tamarone Beach. Drive carefully to get there. Highly recommended."

"Eye catching foliage covered restaurant towards the north end of the Marina, with easy parking right outside. Seemed quite popular but there were tables spare when we visited. Not much of a welcome, however. Some guy serving across the room peremptorily gesticulated towards an empty table and left us to it. Eventually, a gloomy woman turned up with the menus and proposed some additional fish options. Always favouring meat over fish, and noting a page of appropriate dishes on the menu whilst observing a blackboard outside indicating that cheeseburgers were a house speciality, I chose a cheeseburger. As our cheerless hostess observed, not fish cue heavy sigh and off she trudged. I can report that the home made juicy cheeseburger was perfectly acceptable, with some enjoyably crispy chips and fresh salad. The wine seemed more reasonably priced than most but the table water was nothing more than warm, almost dank, tap water in an attractive bottle. We moved on to dessert and I tried the local delicacy, pistazzu, which, in this case was just a dense, dry cake drizzled in lemon juice and caramel. If you 're ever tempted, don 't bother. We already knew that dealing with the bill would be a hurdle. The guy at the table next to us had to trot back to his hotel, leaving us to entertain his wife, as credit cards were not accepted and he initially had insufficient cash. By the time he returned, the bill had been adjusted downwards to within a figure he could have paid in the first instance. You pay at a desk at the back of the room and as we approached, we were given , basically, a cash register receipt with all items marked plat and each slightly more expensive then shown on the menu. Trying to understand why via the surly guy at the desk seemed to get him noisily excited until he just turned his back on us. None the wiser, and interpreting the upward bill adjustment as a potential tip replacement, we paid up and left him still sulking. Wouldn 't bother again."

"We had a great evening at the Sassa. Views are spectacular, seafood was great, meat was ok. Friendly, fast service. This place has moved way beyond the small cosy hang-out. It is now a professionally hosted restaurant with an urban flair. Double-check your bill after dinner."

"This property has a terrace with a magnificent point of view on the beach below. We eat very well and the products are very good and the very nice staff! The only negative point is that they do not take the CBs and the nearest distributor is miles away, so plan liquid or a checker. Otherwise very good address I recommend."
