"I first heard of HomeState from a Buzzfeed Worth It video many many years ago and it has been on my list ever since. I love breakfast and I love tacos. Makes sense to combine the two! I haven't been to the other locations, but Playa Vista is a nice area and it's a lot easier to find street parking. There are some tables inside, and there's lots of outdoor seating. You order at the counter, get a number, and find a seat. Here's what we tried: Cookie milk iced coffee: It was a solid iced coffee and the concept of using cookie milk is very exciting, but unfortunately the flavor wasn't that strong Blanco (egg whites, shiitake mushrooms, monterey jack): I wanted something lighter to balance out the brisket and this was so good! This taco was definitely more stuffed than the other ones. Egg whites get a bad rep for having no flavor but this taco had a bunch of flavor. Only downside was that because of the mushrooms, it was pretty wet so it was a little difficult to eat. Perhaps not the one to order if you're trying to look cute on a date, but soo worth the mess. Pecos (eggs and brisket): Brisket for breakfast? Don't need to tell me twice. The brisket was very tender and paired super nicely with the eggs. Do yourself a favor and get the tacos with their house made flour tortillas. These were seriously some of the best flour tortillas I've had and if I could, I would love to just take home a giant stack of tortillas. I'll probably try some of the other locations that are a little closer to me, but this was a fantastic first experience and I'm happy to report it exceeded my expectations!"

"I ordered a delicious combo with 2 mild chicken sandwiches and fries. Although it says mild AND the gentleman that helped me said they wouldn 't be hot, they were a little to hot for me. Next time I 'll just order Naked which is supposed to have no kick at all. The fries were also delicious. The chicken sandwiches are a little small, so I ate both. Also, the prices are a little high, but I guess it 's ok to have occasionally. The staff was very nice and patient with me. Parking is a little tight, and the parking lot was very dirty."

"It'll be a good one. My husband and I were on this joint because the burger bar was sold next door from vegan burgers. You have a great vegan menu like really delicious. They have bacon for BLTs, very hearty salads with taco meat, the web mi sandwich is also delicious. That's not even what I came over. The service is really something special. They order your sandwich and then they offer you samples of their incredible pages (most of them are vegan, they are clear label), and they also offer you samples of their beer and wine. Do not skip the patterns of the pages. You're crazy. Somehow the servers are even happy. You are happy, knowledgeable and make yourself happy to be there. I went for the fourth or fifth time tonight. My husband and I ordered both vegan salads. They brought my salad with chicken. I let them know and they were SO SWEET to fix it for me. They brought me a new salad immediately, they had excused the manager (I wasn't crazy), they brought me an additional page of my choice and a voucher for the next time I came. Also my husband (the meat eats if it is literally thrown away to not waste the life of the animal) asked if they would throw the salad into it with chicken, they said yes, would you want us to fight it instead for you? what we did, he ate it and the animal was not wasted. "5-star alert! My wife surprised me with this delicious Tunisian restaurant on Father?s Day! It was like an exotic trip to Mediterranean North Africa. The servers were good and the owner was super friendly and helpful! We had prawns, fish, lamb, cauliflowers, and the infamous Hand of Fatima. Everything was delicious, with unique flavors and beautifully presented. The sauces were so unique and flavorful, we had 3 orders of bread as we want to enjoy more of the flavors in everydish!"

"Peet's Coffee got a makeover! Their storefront finally got completed and they brought out their outdoor furniture again to enjoy your beverage. The windows are now full length of the wall, I do hope some window shading is in the works. Service is always done with a smile."
