Spectacular staircase, always very crowded place, spectacular atmosphere, seems to be inside a movie set

Is one of the most famous places of roma and leads with a series of winding ramps from the church of trinity of the mountains to the living room of the square of spagna. elegant and refined has made from background to numerous scenes of famous movies. from the top you enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the city. was built by the king of France luigi xv and was called at the beginning the French staircase but today it is known as the staircase of Piazza di Spagna.

The fountain in front of the staircase is smaller than I thought but the set is absolutely beautiful, every hour of the day (we stayed morning, afternoon and evening). in the morning (we went around to go to the terrace of the pine tree that you reach from the road above the stairway) there were fewer people, but in the light of the sunset it is even more beautiful!

If they may walk one by one, either ascendant or descending, they will like this place as there is a tonne of them. Do not think of sitting on one of them as it is against the law. they can get a 400 euro money for the punishment, as excavated by the steps police on and off the stairs. they all observe how to talk and blow ohrpiercing whistle on them when they even look like they think the weight decrease. be warned, tourist friends.

Kind of overrated, but close to very nice food areas!
