Trastevere is bursting with tourist traps, but we settled for this old style Roman bar and eatery on a corner of the square with the same name. A mixed salad and a rigatoni carbonara went down well and were served by enthusiastic guys who made lots of effort to make us (tourists) feel welcome! Straightforward, cool, recommended. We ate here on Sunday night.Despite a warm welcome and decent pizzas the overall experience was spoiled by the shocking bill. As we had friends with us and their young child on my wifes advice I declined to pull them up on it. The boss made a suggestion for a traditional Roman starter which was accepted without question.
