What RobertaJazz doesn't like about La Base:
Mediocre food. The Margherita pizza did not have mozzarella on it. It was the kind of cheese they put on slices in NY, which would be okay, but don’t call it Margherita. Crust was bland as was sauce. Not acceptable in Rome. The salad was ok. There was a fly enjoying the bread more than we did. Service was downright unfriendly. No “thank you” when we paid the bill. Special baby high chairs are available for toddlers and babies, and there's a counter where you can sit and eat. If the weather conditions are right, you can also be served outside, and there is a eating area with chairs/tables.
