We had known about this central osteria for awhile but had never had the opportunity to try it when in Rome. We finally had the chance the other night and what an experience it was! The owner welcomes you with the typical roman warmth and his suggestions on the menu turned out to be precious! What Creng doesn't like about Osteria Scarci:
The location is nice, but the food is not even close to the roman tradition ones. We ordered: Carbonara, Gricia and Cacio e Pepe. And all of them were extremely disappointing. The pork cheek was not cooked enough and it was not correctly mixed with the sauce. The outcome was like having Roman plate cooked by a Sri-Lankan chef in a Thailandese resort. : View all feedback.
