If you want to get away from the craziness of the Spanish Steps, I suggest the five minute walk to Santovino in Piazza Della Torretta. We enjoyed the amatriciana and seared tuna. Both dishes were delicious, except the seared tuna was over cooked. Having said that the green tomato and eggplant salsa on top was the star of the evening for me. Struggled with poor or average review for this dinner. The food was average and the wine list was great but the service was sub par. Most all places in Rome charge for bottled water with dinner, that’s no problem but when we received our check we were charged for it although it never showed up.
