"Don't hesitate to ask them for the flavors that you want! They're geniuses. I don't know how they they did it but with just couple of vague pointers from my side I had cocktails that were so perfect they filled a hole in my soul. This place was the highlight of my trip in Salzburg."

"Konoba Pinna Nobilis is a new seafood restaurant in Hallein everyone is raving about, so of course we had to see for ourselves. It is a small and cozy restaurant with tasteful interior. The young waitress was particularly charming. While my family ordered the fixed menu, I decided to have fish soup as a starter (the daily special, I didn't know what it would cost), a seafood platter and my dad's dessert from the fixed menu. The soup, accompanied by bread, was good, although I have eaten better. I really enjoyed my seafood platter - grilled shrimp, calamari and scallops with a handful of veggies and potatoes - and I tasted some of the fish from the fixed menu which was also excellent. When I was done with my main course, however, I still felt quite hungry and I wished there had been more potatoes and veggies on my plate. This is something I will never understand: Why do restaurants skimp on the sides? They aren't expensive and they will ensure that the customers leave the restaurant with full bellies.I hoped that the dessert - two slices of chocolate mousse with fresh fruit - would save me but it didn't.When the check came, I was surprised to notice that the fish soup, which was a starter, was that expensive. If I had spent 2€ more I could have eaten the three course fixed menu. It would have been nice of the waitress to point that out to me beforehand.So, while the atmosphere and the seafood at Konoba Pinna Nobilis undoubtedly are very good, they should work on transparency and the amount of sides they put on their plates."

"This was such a nice little find on our trip. A family run, pet friendly restaurant with two outdoor patios. Their special dish is Austrian dumplings from the owners' secret recipe. Our server was the owners' son, very friendly and helpful, advised us on what to order, and chatted with us. When we got stuck in a sudden storm, we were allowed to come inside and wait out the rain, they happily brought an extra big bowl of water to our table for our elderly dog, who was resting under our table. This is a cash only establishment, and all of the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this lovely little restaurant, esp if you enjoy eating where the locals eat. Enjoy!"
