What Zaria Kulas likes about Birch and Perch Coffee Shop:
We stop at Birch and Perch everytime we head back to Melbourne. This is a cafe with basic items. Great coffee, divine homemade cakes and if you are lucky a pie or pastie. The Banofee slice is divine! Very reasonable prices. Just one amazing lady looking after everything, but chatting to others while waiting to be served is all part of it. Do stop here. Easy parking just past the cafe near park. What Baby Beatty doesn't like about Birch and Perch Coffee Shop:
Tiny cafe with a limited menu and much of this was sold out when we arrived at 12.30. Vegetarian options were quiches (sold out) or curried egg sandwich (one left) and I enjoyed that. And the pear and raspberry sliced cake was delicious. excellent, friendly service. loved my seasoned beetroot! also a nice selection of local products, looking forward to trying my soap.
the owner is the only person and is always welcoming, but usually I come for the great cake coffee!

The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and be served in pleasant weather, and there is a eating area with chairs/tables. A counter with bar stools invites you to linger.
