"Disappointing… waiting staff super miserable and unhelpful. Ordered kids meals which the menu said came with beans but were served peas. When questioned, the peas were returned and we were told they had run out of beans. It seemed like the staff couldn’t care less about anyone or anything! Beef was cut very thick, chewy and was nowhere near pink. The wine was nice but not at £10 per 250ml!!! Too expensive for the poor quality. Bar staff were lovely but that’s probably my only positive."

"First time visiting The Miners Arms, and it will not be our last. Absolutely spotlessly clean throughout. Landlady and staff are very friendly and welcoming . I had hunters chicken, and my husband had ham egg and chips. Both meals lovely and served with a lovely side salad. Thank you, Miners Arms, for a beautiful meal and friendly welcome. 5 very well deserved stars from me . You will definitely see us again . Price per person: £30–40"

"Popped in on the way to our B&B after a full day at The Oldfield Forge. The inn was recommended by staff there and it didn't disappoint. A warm and chatty welcome upon arrival and then after a drink we both ordered a FULL MOON burger. A top-notch burger with some of the crispiest fries ever. The inn had a warm inviting feel with families and children happily playing in the beer garden."

"Stumbled upon this place and was really glad we had. The welcome was warm, the service efficient and the food delicious. We chose Chilli/ rice and Doritos and Scampi 9 pieces/chips garden peas Price 2 for £10 .It is quite bijou downstairs but they have a restaurant upstairs (not visited) seated atvtables or there is a small settee .Great place ."

"Selected this restaurant as recommended by our local accommodation and very dog friendly. Reserved a table a couple of hours in advance and we were seated in the library. Very comfortable surroundings. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Menu suited us and for the quality of food served we felt was very reasonable. Definitely on our list for a return visit."

"Went in a party of 6 for Sunday lunch, 4 adults 2 children. The children had the fish and chips, which were OK. However, everyone else had roast dinners and we were all very disappointed in food quality. We had heard good things about the restaurant and were looking forward to this, we won't be going back.
