very bad setting of things and owners to guests. they have yelled at us without any reason and spelling courses. we were really upset and scared for a moment

"Of course all starts with the great location. The menu is mainly fish but there are a few alternatives in case one of a group doesn't like fish. The Wels catfish was a real discovery, the Zander on risotto was very good too - some welcome new discoveries.Not sure why someone here says the side dishes couldn't be changed - we asked and there was no problem doing so.Prices are a little on the high side but not excessively so for Wachau and especially given the quality."

"We went to the Wachau valley with the intent of exploring the vineyards, wine etc. The journey kind of got pear shaped when the OBB Railjet from Vienna to St. Polten got delayed and thereby disrupting the entire connecting schedule which I had very cleverly...planned. We finally reached Wachau in a short taxi ride from Spitz (after missing our connecting bus . We were like middle of nowhere, 32 degree C, bright sunny. After exploring the place (which was not much , this was the only place open for lunch, and boy what a pace it was!! very nice ambience, out in the courtyard, under the cool shades, with wine and good food. Staff was English speaking, and welcoming. It was indeed fine dining. Only catch was that it was closing by 2 pm : . It was really a nice overall experience, would love to go there again, but drive the next time for sure. I wish them all the best."
