There are very few beach hotels with charm in this country, so the Cooden Beach hotel was a pleasant surprise. It's more like an American beach motel than a proper hotel. We all went for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was nice, the staff were nice. The starters were pleasant. It was the main course, the Sunday lunch that was the letdown.
